A QUICK HISTORY ABOUT ME
I’ve been lifting with barbells for many years. However, most of those years were spent being largely unproductive. I fell into the traps that most of you have fallen into. My training plans were flawed, nutrition inadequate, and technique sub par. Way too much time and energy was allocated to isolation exercises, machines, cardio, and abs. This lead to me chasing my tail for over 10 years.
When I was 29 years old I began to focus on the process of training with the barbell, not just exercising with one. I planned for long-term improvements in strength and mass using simple programming. I ate to fuel training and recovery, not just to stop being hungry.
When I was 31 I took it a step further and dedicated myself to the Starting Strength Method. This marked a huge turning point for me. I simplified my training even further and set an objective of one day becoming a Starting Strength Coach. In June of 2018 I accomplished that goal.
In the last 6 years I have been able to surpass such milestones as a 500 pound squat, 600 pound deadlift, 400 pound bench press, and 250 pound overhead press.
I don't believe this would have been possible without dedicating myself to the pursuit of knowledge in this field.
